B&K Precision Acquires Instrument Division of Motech Industries

Taipei, Taiwan, January 16, 2012 - B&K Precision Corporation today announced that it has acquired the assets of the instrument division of Motech Industries.

The two companies have a long history of collaboration and Motech has manufactured programmable power supplies and LCR meters under the B&K Precision brand for almost 20 years.

Motech Industries is a leader in solar technologies, and the instrument business was no longer a strategic component. “By selling the division to B&K Precision--a well recognized manufacturer of test equipment that celebrated its 60th anniversary last year--the instrument division and its employees are assured of a bright future said Dr Chang", President and CEO of Motech Industries.

Victor Tolan, president and CEO of B&K Precision added, "this acquisition strengthens our expertise in programmable linear and high power switching supplies. Motech has a long tradition of developing and manufacturing high quality innovative products and this is a perfect complement to our own product offering".

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
