This new full-featured DMM combines outstanding functionality, accuracy and measurement capabilities. The Auto-Ranging 2712 with a large easy-to-read digital display and analog bargraph has a physical design that allows for single-handed operation. Priced at only $ 109.00, this excellent meter is a must for every tool kit.

 

Model 2712 provides True RMS precision with a 40,000 count display that allows precise resolution measurement results. Having the AC+DC TRMS capability ensures the 2712 will include any DC effects within the measured voltage or current.   Its numerous features include Resistance up to 40 Mohm, a wide range of Capacitance, built-in Frequency counter, DC voltage to 1,000V, AC voltage to 750V,  fused Current to 10A (AC & DC) plus Diode and Continuity Beeper. Plus a convenient backlight for using the meter in dimly lit environments. The protective rubber case contains a magnetic hanging strap to allow the user to have both hands free for their work.

 

The user can easily select between Auto and Manual Ranging. The ergonomic design allows both left and right handed users to rotate the knob while holding the meter in one hand. Auto-power-off feature eliminates accidental battery consumption.

Notice to Recall Certain B&K Precision Model 875B LCR Meters

June 2009

Dear B&K Precision Customer:

B&K Precision is voluntarily recalling a limited number of our 875B LCR Meters that were manufactured between January 20, 2009 and March 4, 2009. The affected serial numbers' identifying information is listed below. This recall will remain in effect through September 4, 2009.

If you own one of the meters that is included in this recall, please send it back to B&K Precision for replacement. Please use the information below to determine if your meter is included.

Problem Details:

Through quality inspection testing, we discovered certain measured resistive values will be well outside of specified parameters. This may lead to misdiagnosis or mislabeling of a tested resistive component. This recall is not related to any operational safety or hazard issue.

Actions:

1. Stop using your 875B for resistive measurements if you purchased it in the first half of 2009.
2. Verify that your meter is affected by using the Affected Series table and images shown above.
3. If you find that your meter is included in the recall, please click this Product Recall Return Form link and fill in the requested information. We will send you a prepaid mailing materials to return your meter at no cost to you.
4. Please keep a copy of the serial number(s) of the meter(s) you sent in for your records.
5. Once B&K Precision receives your meter, we will send you a replacement 875B free of charge.
